10 reasons to have an equine photo shoot in autumn
1. Earlier Sunsets
Earlier sunsets mean no late nights trying to get that golden glow. Golden hour photos are truly stunning, and with the nights drawing in we don't have to wait until 9pm to get them!
2. Not as many flies!
When the temperature drops, so does the fly population. Your horse will be much more comfortable during their photo shoot when they're not getting pestered by those tickly flies!
3. Autumn Leaves
Who doesn't love a picturesque autumn woodland photo shoot? Those beautiful brown crispy leaves make beautiful back drops for photos!
4. You won't be sweating!
We all love a summer photo shoot, but occasionally England can take it a bit too far, resulting in us all being a hot mess! Autumn brings the best of both worlds, beautiful days with the temperature being just right.
5. Crisp mornings
Autumn also brings slightly cooler mornings, and if you're willing to get up a bit earlier for your photo shoot, you might just be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise & crisp autumn morning.
6. Woolly jumpers!
Now it's not boiling hot, you can style yourself in a comfy pullover, jeans and long boots. Or maybe your favourite coat for a bit of a twist?
7. Woolly ponies!
If you don't clip your horse yet, leaving them woolly for a photo shoot can give a really nice cute & cuddly look to your final gallery.
8. Clipped ponies!
If you do clip your horse, they can look super smart for their photo shoot if you clip them, too!
9. You aren't quite as busy!
A lot of you will be coming to the end of your eventing season, and so your horses will be looking in tip top shape, but you won't be competing every weekend, leaving more time for us to fit in a photo shoot.
10. Softer light makes your skin look smoother
I always say that bright sunshine isn't ideal for photo shoots despite what most people think. Overcast and grey days create beautiful soft light that makes your skin look softer that if you were stood in bright sunshine.
