Katie, Miffy, Katie, Red & Tilly
Yep, you saw the name Katie twice! It's always fun when a horse and their own share the same name, and it always causes a few giggles.
I've known Katie for years... I actually met her the first time (yep the first time!) she broke her back. She contacted me asking for some help with Miffy (the dark bay mare!) whilst she was out of action. So I used to go and rider her a few times a week.
Tilly (The light bay mare) is a baby, and has just been broken in, whilst Red (the coloured gelding, the poor boy is seriously outnumbered!), is Katies latest edition and she does a bit of jumping with him. From what I gather he's got quite a firey personality!
The big grey, Katie, was shared between her & her mum. Katie actually had to have an eye removed not long before I met them all, but it's amazing how well she coped. Continuing her career of jumping and all sorts of activities, including teaching loads of people to ride. She was a big softy, and I was really saddened to hear the other day that she actually passed away.
I stress this to people all the time, don't keep putting off having a photo shoot with your horse! If something happens you will regret not doing it! I'm so glad this isn't the case here. I know Katie & her mum have some beautiful photos of their gorgeous girl that they will treasure forever!
"I can’t recommend Imogen highly enough! She took some incredible photos of our horses that I will definitely treasure! She puts you right at ease if you’re feeling nervous/awkward about the process & makes the whole experience really enjoyable! Thanks again for my gorgeous photos!"
Here's some more from that evening...
