Abbie & Lewis
I was blessed with the most amazing sunset for my photo shoot with Abbie & Lewis in March. I love shooting in golden hour, silhouette style photos are my absolute favourite, so when I get chance to do some I get so excited!
Everyone knows chestnuts are my favourite, and that includes this handsome lad. Him & Abbie have done a bit of everything together, but unfortunately he had recently suffered an injury which meant he was out of work, and he would probably have to be put to sleep, hence the reason for our photo shoot.
"After lots of recommendations and seeing beautiful photos of others, I decided to book a photo shoot with Imogen.
Before the photo shoot I was worried because my horse is very grumpy and uncooperative so I didn’t think we would be able to get nice ones where he looked quiet and happy. I thought there might be very limited ones even after she shoot as he was very cheeky and definitely not model material but wow there were about 100 and every one was beautiful.
Imogen was so patient with my horse and tried many things to get him interested. There was so much variety and we both look like we’re having a lovely time.
I felt no pressure which is the best thing for me as I’m very self conscious and don’t like all eyes on me. Imogen was so lovely and kind with me and my horse by keeping us busy with poses and lots of locations but without feeling rushed or under pressure. She captured every single moment perfectly.
My favourite part of the photo shoot was just enjoying time with my horse and talking about what we’ve accomplished together. This photoshoot was arranged to give me some lasting memories of my boy and I was worried I might get upset but Imogen laughed with me and genuinely cares about you and your horse. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
I wasn’t expecting much from it as we only had an hour of light and most of that was cheeky horse dragging me to grass or trying to bite me!! But there were so many beautiful images in my gallery and such a wide variety. Every moment Lewis gave us she captured beautifully and with so much of his personality.
I would book again in a heartbeat! My photos are so precious as I have now lost my horse. On booking I was worried I would get emotional or stressed but there was no such feeling and the whole time she kept us both focused and engaged while we talked about every adventure and laughed at his uncooperative nature.
They give me so much joy, and the experience was such a blessing. I am so grateful to Imogen for capturing my beautiful boy and all his personality, they will always be some of my best memories with him that I will love forever."
Here's some more from that evening...
