ANABEL & BASIL -17

I was so excited to work with this pair back in November 2021. I have followed Anabel & Basil on instagram for a while, and got to watch them showjumping when I was photographing at Newbold Verdon Equestrian Centre back in the summer. 

Basil is the most gorgeous palomino pony (as you can see from the photos!).

Basil has got to be one of my favourite ponies I've ever got to photograph, he is just so sweet and we all had loads of fun. The yard where Basil is kept is based near Walsall. It was a lovely busy livery yard with plenty of horses on it.

We started off doing some photos in the school, then Anabel decided she wanted to ride bareback so we got some shots of her doing that, too. After that we went down this lovely track which leads to a pretty bridge to finish. We got lucky for November, the light was incredible (as it often is that time of year), the sky even went a little pink as the sun went down. Anabel was brave enough to wear a dress throughout, too. 

Anabel has already booked another photoshoot for her birthday in May, I can't wait to work with this pair again!
