Sometimes photos mean so much more than that, and this was a prime example. I can tell when I meet a client when they photos are going to be cherished deeply... Ones that will bring them more joy than most.
Lynda won her shoot with me at the Blue Cross open day back in August. Her eyes were drawn straight to the 3in1 frame on my stand and she told me all about her lovely older dog, Tessa, her new puppy, Maverick, and her soon to be newest puppy, Luna.
Speaking to Lynda after she knew she wanted a 3 in 1, but she wasn't sure how long she had left with her gorgeous Tess, so she felt it would be nice to get a photo of each dog and let them have a frame together.

Due to time potentially being short, we decided to split her photoshoot in 2. We did one session in September ASAP so we definitely had photos of Tess, then we would do another photoshoot in November, once both puppies were fully vaccinated and had a tiny bit of training for their photos.
The first session was fairly short and sweet. It was a lovely sunny late summer day and we just spent a bit of time outside with Tessa in the garden. Maverick was there too so I did actually manage to get some of them together as well as some puppy ones of Maverick for the record. It's amazing how quickly they grow up, so I wanted to capture his adorable baby face.

On my second visit, I was absolutely thrilled to see Tessa was still going strong. Though this shoot was mainly to focus on the two pups, we had to include her as well.
To start off with the pair of them ran around the garden like crazy, chasing balls and playing. We managed to get a few posed sitting ones with some food bribery. Just as we were finishing up, I suggested we tried to get one of all three.
We tried a few times, as you can imagine with 2 puppies it's really difficult to get them to stay and look the same direction all at once. Deep breath, one more go. They smashed it. I'm so so glad we gave it one more go. This is the photo I know will mean to much to Lynda forever. We never thought we'd one of all three of them together.
Lynda got her gorgeous 3in1, as well as a. beautiful portrait of all 3 of them in the same photo.
This one will stay warm and fuzzy in my memory for a while.
