Daisy & Iggy

There's nothing I love more than spending a sunny morning on a gorgeous Derbyshire farm on the edge of the Peak District. Surrounded by lavender, beautiful horses and spending time with a lovely family.

Daisy was bought a shoot with her gorgeous horse, Iggy, for her birthday. Naturally we included the whole family, and did some photos of younger sister Gracie & her gorgeous pony GG.

In my opinion you just can't beat the stone walls and barns amongst the rolling Derbyshire hills. On a sunny day it's just totally glorious.

I grew up with 3 older brothers, so photographing sisters is always really fun for me.

I loved how the girls shared their love of horses, as well as each other's wardrobes (there was no falling out either!).

We used various locations around the yard, from the stables, the track to the field to the gorgeous lavender lined drive, and finishing up the hill in the field with all the lovely views.

Top marks to their dad, Ross, who went and got the most yummy coffee and cake to have at the end of the shoot - you'll always get brownie points from me when it comes to snacks!

We did some gorgeous family portraits as well, I think it's always a precious image to have from a shoot if you can get the family together. Especially when so much of your lives revolve around horses and competing.

I honestly look back on this morning with such fond thoughts. It's such a privilege to be trusted with memories like this, I loved the colour palette and pastel summer feel to the final images - the way each shoots comes together in such a unique way never fails to amaze me. I am so lucky to call this my job!

I somehow managed to avoid being stung by the hundreds of bees that were also enjoying the lavender at the same time - bonus!
