Evie, Vi, Paddy & Winnie

There’s something incredibly special about being invited back to photograph a family for the second time — especially when that family includes three beautiful horses and a very charming dog!

I first photographed Evie and her horses back in 2021, when my business was still fairly new. So to return a few years later and see how much everyone has grown was such a pleasure.

Watching my clients’ lives evolve is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do — and it’s often those milestones that bring people back for another session.

This time, Evie wanted something extra special — and wow, did she deliver! We started the session with her in her stunning prom dress, talk about sparkles! The way the light caught her dress was absolutely magical; I honestly felt like I was photographing the cover of Vogue! And of course, we couldn’t leave out Stanley, the family’s gorgeous dog, who made sure he had his moment in front of the camera too.

After the glamour, we moved into the garden for a more relaxed, natural look. Evie changed into a more casual outfit, and we captured some beautifully soft, timeless portraits. One of my favourite moments was bringing all three horses — Vi, Paddy, and Winnie — together for a group shot. Seeing them side by side with Evie was really special, and such a lovely way to celebrate how her bond with them has deepened over the years.

We wrapped up the session by the stable block, where Evie could just enjoy some quiet, cuddly moments with her horses. Those unposed, heartfelt interactions are always the ones that tell the real story — the everyday love that makes their relationship so meaningful.

Life moves so quickly — especially when you’ve got teenagers growing up and horses who are such a huge part of family life. The changes between sessions can feel subtle day to day, but looking back over a few years, they’re enormous. Many of my returning clients tell me they love being able to document these different chapters: the growth, the maturity, and the memories shared along the way.

Whether it’s celebrating a milestone like prom, marking the bond with a beloved horse, or simply wanting to capture who they are right now, these portraits become part of their family story — treasured reminders of moments that will never come again.

Evie’s session was full of sparkle, laughter, and genuine love — and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect reunion.
