I recently had the pleasure of visiting Heidi at her beautiful new yard in Foston, Derbyshire, for a portrait session with her three stunning horses: Marley, April, and Rhianna. Heidi has just launched a lovely yard with a variety of livery packages, making it a welcoming and versatile home for both horse and rider.

Working with top event riders is always a joy. They often have countless images from competitions and shows, but rarely do they have the chance to be photographed with their horses in the calm, relaxed environment of home. That’s what makes sessions like this so special.

Horses spend the vast majority of their lives at home—whether grazing in the field, rolling in the sun, or simply enjoying time with their rider. Yet, these everyday moments are rarely captured beautifully.
