Talk about doing all the things on your equine portrait shoot... this one wasn't short of location and outfit changes, and the results were just to die for, honestly!

It was the most beautiful evening in the Peak District village of Barlow for this gorgeous shoot with Learna and her gorgeous grey gelding, Leo. We started at home, using the country lane, their paddock and stable block, before moving across to Barlow Sunflowers for the last half hour of the shoot.

I can't lie, I was super excited about this location as I'd never shot in sunflowers before and it's always been on the bucket list!

I can't help admiring Learna's gorgeous mermaid hair - paired with the dresses she chose I really just loved the final look of the images. We even included her two dogs, Barney & Bernadette, and husband Scott.

Learna found me at Thoresby, so the shoot was a few months in the planning and it was well worth the wait for sure.

Lots of my clients split their shoot across a couple of close-by locations like this. If your horse is comfortable travelling and in new places, then this can really add a lovely dimension to your shoot.

All the colours and warmth in these images just sums up summer for me, you can't look at them without feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
