A Magical Bluebell Woodland Session with Grace and Tilly


Back in April, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Grace and her beautiful new pony, Tilly. Having worked with Grace a couple of times already, I always relish the challenge of creating something entirely new for her family to treasure — and this time was no exception.



For this session, we chose an ancient woodland blanketed in a sea of bluebells — the perfect setting to capture the growing bond between Grace and Tilly. There’s something so special about photographing horses and their young riders in nature; the soft spring light, the vivid bluebells, and the quiet magic of the woodland came together to create a truly timeless portrait session.

What struck me most was how much Grace and Tilly’s relationship has blossomed in such a short space of time. From the gentle nuzzles to the confident way Grace led her through the trees, it was clear that they’ve already built a deep trust and friendship. Capturing those fleeting moments is exactly why I love what I do — they are memories that deserve to be preserved for generations.



As a Nottinghamshire equine photographer, I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of photographing your children throughout the years.
