“My favourite part of the shoot was being with my best friend and the horses, it was just an amazing experience. Imogen also included our cars, which was a first for her. When we asked about putting the cars in the shoot she didn't decline. We honestly couldn't have asked for more.”
"Before our shoot we were excited, but also a little nervous. We had seen photos that Imogen had done for friends and were really impressed. We felt a little nervous and unsure what the day would bring, but Imogen made us at ease and we had a fabulous morning with her.
It was never rushed and Imogen knew how to get the best out of us and the horses.

The in person viewing was so exciting, seeing the pictures for the first time was just out of this world. The images turned out way better than we expected, they really are memories for a lifetime.
I can't believe they are us. They look like they are out a magazine!"

This is hands down one of my favourite photoshoots ever. I met Jane & Jon through the dressage shows at Derby College Equestrian Centre. Jane usually competes at prelim with her ex racehorse, Alfie, and her husband Jon calls the tests for her. We spoke on the phone in 2022 about booking a shoot for them, and we decided May with the bluebells would be a lovely time.
Alfie is a gorgeous bay thoroughbred gelding, he's 16 years old. Ronnie is also a 16 year old bay thoroughbred gelding. The perfect pair!
During their design consultation call, we spoke about their cars and how we could include them. Jon also has a family tartan kilt, and they wanted to include that too. It's details like that that make a shoot totally bespoke. I'm sure you can imagine my excitement.

We decided to do their shoot over two locations - we started on the yard the horses are stabled at, then moved into the local park. Shipley Country Park is one of my favourite locations, it was full of bluebells at this time of year, and ofcourse Jane & Jon spend many hour hacking together in the park which I think made it a lovely touch to use it as a location for their photos.
We had most weathers throughout our photoshoot - bright sunshine first thing, then overcast, then just as we were finishing up in Shipley Country Park it started to drizzle - the bluebell shots still looked great though!
