I recently had the absolute joy of photographing Megan and her gorgeous little dog, Lula, for a new session.

We’ve worked together before, around this time of year, but in a very different setting, so it was such a treat to reconnect in one of my favourite locations in the Peak District.


The morning was crisp and clear, with that magical winter light that makes the colours pop and the scenery feel like pure creative heaven. Honestly, you just can’t beat a cold winter morning up on the edge—it’s the perfect backdrop for capturing genuine moments.

This session was much more focused on dog and owner than our previous one, and it was an absolute pleasure to see the love between Megan and Lula shining through.

They’ve been together for three years now, and Lula, being a rescue, has built such a deep bond of trust with Megan—it really is stunning to witness.

Between agility training and everyday adventures, these two are inseparable, and I adore following them on Instagram to see all the things they get up to together. Capturing that connection in beautiful, timeless images is what makes my heart happy.

We had such a fun morning, carrying (what felt like) Megan’s entire wardrobe up the edge, with Lula helping out by carrying her own treats—she’s such a good girl!


We captured plenty of playful moments together, some just between the two of them, and some of Lula on her own, showing off her personality. It was one of those mornings that reminded me why I love what I do: laughter, love, and a little bit of winter magic all rolled into one session.
