I got to meet up with the lovely Ellen from Peak District Guided Horse Rides last week. I've been dreaming of equine portrait sessions in the Peak District for a while now, and Ellen very kindly shared her expertise on great horse friendly locations for me to shoot at.

I can confirm the locations are absolutely beautiful, and her extensive knowledge of the Peak District has been a massive help in some absolutely drop dead gorgeous shoot productions at the start of this year, and I'm sure loads of my clients will reap the benefits of Ellen's knowledge in months and years to come.

This particular location we decided to meet up so she could show me herself, and I could get some professional photos for her website and social media. Her gorgeous gelding Rebel was an absolute sait, and I imagine an amazing calming influence on any rides that Ellen hosts.

Ellen does guided horse rides through the Peak District, but on your own horse. She knows all the best spots for lorry parking, bridleways with views for miles, and all the best spots for a canter. From hilly fitness rides for competition horses, to a slow mountain top amble for the happy hackers, Ellen can literally cater for everyone who wants to tick riding through the Peak District off their bucket list.

The best bit is that Ellen will even open and close all the gates for you - what more could you want?!

It was a really fun morning spent together, and keep your eyes peeled for an exciting collaboration later this year!

So if you're looking to be guided through the beautiful Peak District, or have a equine portrait session up there, please get in touch. I'll list all of Ellen's details below:
